Father’s Day Contest

June 13-19, 2022

The sponsor of this Contest is Wajax Industrial Components (“Contest Sponsor”) whose address is 2250 Argentia Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L5N 6A5.  Entry in the Contest constitutes agreement to these Contest Rules set out below.

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. The Contest Sponsor will only use the information provided by the entrant for contacting the winner of the Contest.

No purchase necessary.  This Contest is open to residents of the provinces of Canada, excluding residents of Quebec, who are the age of majority in their province of resident.  Contest Sponsor employees and employees of its affiliates and related legal entities are not eligible to win.  The odds of winning are based on the number of entries received during the Contest Period (as defined herein).  The Contest is void where prohibited by law.  The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to verify if Contest winners satisfy all Contest admissibility criteria.

ENTRY

In order to enter the Contest, there will be one contest post on the Wajax Facebook (@wajax) and Instagram (@gowajax) for the entire contest period, which is June 13-19, 2022 and, to enter the contest, entrants are required to follow the Wajax social media profile, like and comment on the post. Entrants must comply with Facebook and Instagram Terms of Use. There is a limit of one entry per day during the Contest Period regardless of the means of entry. 

All comments must not be defamatory or infringe the privacy rights of any person, or otherwise infringe upon any party’s personal or proprietary rights. Comments that are deemed as inappropriate by the Contest Sponsor will be disqualified from the Contest and will not be eligible to win.

To obtain one entry by mail, the entrant must write out the entrant’s first name, last name, e-mail, company and province on a sheet of paper and mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage) to: Wajax, Father’s Day Contest, 2250 Argentia Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L5N 6A5, Attention: Marketing Department.  All mailed entries will be considered to be received for the purposes of the Contest when the entry is actually received by the Contest Sponsor according to its records.  All mailed entries will not constitute consent to receipt of marketing e-mails from the Contest Sponsor, which may include event invitations, special promotions and other important updates, unless the mailed entry clearly provides for such consent.

Winner agrees to allow the Contest Sponsor’s use of the winners’ individual and company name and photo of the individual for contest and other promotions.

CONTEST DATES

The Contest starts at 10:00AM on June 13, 2022 and ends at 11:59PM on June 19, 2022 (the “Contest Period”). All terms refer to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). In order for an entry to be eligible for a Contest Period, it must be received during such Contest Period. An entry will be rejected if the entry does not comply with these Contest Rules including if the entry is not received during a Contest Period.  Only one prize awarded per person for the Contest.

PRIZE

There is a total of one Prize Pack containing Wajax branded merchandise, Hyster Mini Model Forklift, and a $200 gift card to The Keg available to be won, valued at CAD$350.00 

WINNER

One (1) winner will be chosen via random electronic draw at 10:00AM on June 20, 2022 from all eligible entries on Facebook and Instagram, which were submitted and received in accordance with the Contest Rules during the Contest Period.  The winner will be contacted via the platform their entry was received. 

PRIZE REDEMPTION

To be declared the winner and receive the prize, all potential winners must successfully complete the requirements of the Contest as set out in these Contest Rules and claim the prize not later than July 1, 2022.  The prize will be shipped to the winner or an email will be sent to the winner containing a voucher and allowing the winner to pick up the prize at a Wajax location in their community.

Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged (including for cash) or combined or used in concert with another contest or another offer. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.

ADDITIONAL TERMS

The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising the Contest, or any late entries. The odds of winning the Contest will depend on the number of entrants into the contest. To be declared the contest winner, the winner of the draw may be required to answer a skill testing question. There is no particular regional allocation of the prize, it will depend on whether the winner is located. 

By entering the Contest, entrants release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Contest Sponsor and Instagram, and each of their affiliates and related legal entities and each of their respective officers, directors, agents (including their advertising and promotional agencies), representatives and successors and assigns from any liability directly or indirectly arising in connection with the Contest or, if declared a winner, the prize. Before being declared a winner, entrants may be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period, a declaration of compliance with the Contest Rules and a full liability and publicity release.

This Contest will be run in accordance with these Contest Rules, subject to amendment or cancellation by the Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. Contestants must comply with these Contest Rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the Contest Rules by participation in the Contest. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these Contest Rules, are not subject to amendment or counteroffer, except as set out herein. Any dispute relating to the Contest (including, without limitation, a dispute as to whether an entrant has complied with the Contest Rules) shall be resolved by the Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final and binding.

The Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet, postal delays, any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any e-mail or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages fully permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

By entering the Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Contest Sponsor, and its agents and representatives, storing, sharing and using personal information submitted in connection with the Contest for the purpose of administering the Contest.
