Minister of Transportation Honours Wajax at Ontario Transportation Expo

Toronto, Ontario – July 19, 2022 – Wajax was selected as one of two vendors to be honoured with a visit by the Honourable Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation for Ontario, at the 23rd annual Ontario Transportation Expo (“OTE”) in recognition of their contribution to the transportation industry.

The Ministry of Transportation – a significant contributor and supporter of the transportation industry across Ontario – prioritized the important work of keeping the industry moving throughout the pandemic. Meeting with key industry leaders and service providers allowed them an opportunity to get a pulse on the state of the industry post-pandemic, and make personal connections with a selection of industry leaders, Wajax being one of them.

As Canadian company servicing the transportation industry for decades, Wajax shares a strong, long-term commitment to Canada’s transport industry with the Ministry. Meeting the Minister has been an honour for entire Wajax transport team.

Teo Teodoro, Branch Manager of the Wajax Toronto Diesel Drive branch, had the pleasure of speaking directly with the Minister. Well known in the industry, Teo has been recognized as an Ambassador for the Transit, Coach and Busing Industry and, with Wajax, has been a participating member of the Ontario Motor Coach Association (“OMCA”) for over 30 years.

“It was a pleasure to meet the Honourable Caroline Mulroney. Transportation is such an important industry in the Canadian economy and I’m proud of the work we do to support it here at Wajax.”, said Teo.

Wajax provides premium transport products, including engines & transmissions from top brands such as Allison and Detroit®; as well as performs service and repairs across the country.
