KEY PRIORITIES INCLUDE BUILDING THE BEST TEAM, STRENGETHENING CUSTOMER AND SUPPLIER PARTNERSHIPS, SUPPORTING LOCAL COMMUNITITES AND DELIVERIVING ON COMMITMENTS
Toronto, Ontario – October 8, 2026 – Wajax Corporation (“Wajax” or the “Corporation”) today announced its 2027 Strategy Roadmap, outlining the priorities, investments and organizational initiatives that will help guide the Corporation’s next phase of growth. The Strategy Roadmap is the culmination of a strategic planning process undertaken by leaders from across the business. Wajax also announced planned organizational changes to provide greater focus on profitable growth and to enhance customer and supplier experience.
“Since joining as CEO in March 2026, I have visited Wajax locations all across Canada and heard directly from team members, customers and supplier partners,” said George McClean, President and Chief Executive Officer. “These discussions confirmed that Wajax has a strong foundation, great people and significant opportunities ahead. They also reinforced that there are areas where we can improve and become a more competitive business.”
Mr. McClean continued, “Over the past six months, we have completed a detailed strategic planning process. Gathering a team of 18 senior leaders from across the business, we set out to identify the investments, capabilities and operational priorities required to support profitable growth and to strengthen our competitive position. The work encompassed all of our businesses and regions, with particular attention to our sales force, technicians, go-to-market initiatives, and the organizational and talent capabilities required to support growth.”
The 2027 Strategy Roadmap establishes four key priorities:
- Building the Best Team through a focus on safety, shared values and behaviours, leadership excellence, a strong culture and team member experience, and training and developing our people.
- Customer and Supplier Partner Focus through providing a great customer experience, building true partnerships with our suppliers, driving sales force excellence, and making strategic investments.
- Supporting our Communities through a coordinated approach to community investment, enhanced engagement, educational partnerships and environmental responsibility.
- Delivering on our Commitments through smart investments and spending, operational excellence and profitable market share growth.
To advance these priorities, Wajax will evaluate targeted investments in a number of areas critical to supporting future growth, including technician recruitment and development, leadership training, sales capabilities, digital and eCommerce tools, as well as selected supply chain and facility investments.
Wajax also plans to implement organizational changes designed to provide greater role clarity and accountability while strengthening its focus on customer and supplier partner relationships. Under this new structure, Wajax intends to appoint a President of Equipment, Parts and Service, and a President of Industrial Products and Engineered Repair Services, each with responsibility for profitable sales growth, category management, supplier partner relationships, and operations within their respective businesses. Management believes these changes will enhance accountability and execution while providing greater leadership focus on profitable growth over the long term. This structure will also allow Wajax to be more sales focused, easier to do business with for customers and supplier partners, and more competitive across Canada.
An additional important outcome of the strategic planning process is the establishment of Wajax’s long-term vision: By 2031, Wajax will be Canada’s fastest growing provider of industrial products, equipment and services. The 2027 Strategy Roadmap establishes the initial priorities, investments and organizational initiatives intended to achieve that vision.
“Our 2027 Strategy Roadmap reflects what we believe matters most to the long-term success of Wajax,” said Mr. McClean. “We are focused on building the best team, strengthening customer and supplier partnerships, supporting the communities where we live and work, and delivering on our commitments. These priorities will position Wajax for profitable growth and will support our new vision of becoming Canada’s fastest growing provider of industrial products, equipment and services by 2031.”
Mr. McClean concluded, “We are also proud to introduce our updated logo, which now incorporates a maple leaf, and our new ‘Building Canada Together Since 1858’ branding, which reflects both our Canadian identity and the role Wajax has played in supporting customers, industries and communities across Canada for 168 years. We have important work ahead of us, and we look forward to sharing additional details regarding our priorities, investments, and organizational initiatives in the weeks and months to come.”
