MAFI HD 445 Heavy Duty Tractor with ballast weights
The HD 445 is MAFI’s largest and most powerful heavy truck and is designed for use in steel mills, foundries and other industrial applications requiring a very heavy-duty truck. The hydraulically operated fifth wheel plate can lift 45 tons and when used with ballast weights, the HD 445 can move over 200 tons! When used with drawbar trailers at maximum wheel load, the mighty HD 445 can pull even more. A variety of ballast weights can be added to augment traction with extra-heavy loads. In steelyards and terminal facilities, the HD 445 is much more versatile than a semi-truck and can haul many kinds of loads. Customers have a choice of efficient diesel powerplants with either Cummins or Volvo engines being available. The operator occupies a large, accessible cab with excellent all-around visibility allowing precise, quick control in tight confines.
