MAFI T 225 D
MAFI designed the long-wheelbase T 225 D shunt truck as a vehicle specifically for moving semi-trailers in distribution centres and industrial locations. The safe movement of long semi-trailers in a crowded yard requires a trailer shunter with specialized features. The MAFI T 225 D has an extended wheelbase of 3,500 mm to allow more space between the trailer and cab for better visibility and a platform for ease of access. Trailer connections can be made faster with the driver never leaving the vehicle. The hydraulically operated fifth wheel eliminates manually raising and lowering the trailer’s support feet so up to four times the semi-trailers can be moved compared to using a conventional road tractor.
